Lindsey Gunn
During his nineteen year career in the Plano Independent School District, a high performing suburban school system north of Dallas, Texas, Dr. Gunn served as high school math teacher, high school and senior high school guidance counselor, senior high school assistant principal, district research and planning analyst, and district director of quality improvement. As Director of Quality Improvement, his primary focus was the district’s strategic planning process, school improvement process and Total Quality initiatives. He also conducted workshops and directed projects as requested by the superintendent.
Plano ISD honors include Vines High School Teacher of the Year, Ross Perot Excellence in Teaching Award, National Distinguished Service Registry in Counseling and Development, and inclusion in several Who’s Who publications. Notable accomplishments include providing internal support for the district’s initial strategic planning effort, establishing planning at each school as a natural extension of the district’s strategic planning process, facilitating development of the district’s structure for School Based Improvement, and leading the district’s first efforts in the investigation and application of Total Quality.
Dr. Gunn currently provides training, facilitation and consultation in strategic planning and related efforts as Senior Associate with Cambridge Strategics, the firm recognized as the leading developer and premier provider of strategic planning services for school systems. He has conducted training sessions throughout the United States and abroad, and has provided facilitation services for more than 100 organizations in over 25 states.
